relevance of intraocular pressure,
pachymetry, gonioscopy, optic
nerve structure and function,
and perimetry

of evidence based medicine in
glaucoma with respect to the
following: diagnostics, medical
therapy, laser surgery, and
incisional surgery
- To recognize and understand the
science and art underpinning
management approaches to
various primary and secondary
glaucomas
- To recognize disease progression
and when to modify approach
to therapy
- To understand the indications,
contraindications, and
complications associated
with laser trabeculoplasty,
cyclophotocoagulation,
trabeculectomy, drainage
device surgery, and newer
approaches to glaucoma
surgery
