2010 Canadian Glaucoma Society/Pfizer Canada Glaucoma Fellowship

Overview

Canadian Glaucoma Society/Pfizer Canada Glaucoma Fellowship is awarded for post-graduate training in Canada in glaucoma from 1 July 2010 to 30 June 2011.

Amount of award

The amount of the fellowship is $40,000.

Other income sources, such as stipends, bursaries, subsidies or scholarships will be deducted from the total amount of the fellowship.

Eligibility

Canadian or non-Canadians undertaking a one year Glaucoma Fellowship in a recognized Canadian academic center may apply. Preference will be given to applicants who will be remaining in Canada in either an academic position or an area of need as supported by a letter from the Medical Director of the community. An outline of future plans supported by a letter of acceptance to an academic posting or alternate should accompany the application where possible.

Deadlines

Applications must be postmarked no later than 1 February 2010 to be eligible for consideration.

The successful applicant will be advised of their award in April 2010.

Reporting

A progress report is required prior to releasing the final quarter payment, including a brief report from the Project Supervisor.
